Description: It is a moment of pride for The Millennium School Surat to announce that The Millennial Cup 2023-24 - an exciting Cricket Sports League - was organised by the Student Council of TMS for charity purposes for the students of Classes IX-XII. It included separate cricket matches for boys and girls, with the former grouped into 6 teams and the latter into 4. Enthusiasm and anticipation ran high as the participants stretched and jogged on the grounds, ready and excited to showcase their agility, teamwork and sportsmanship skills. The day began with a prayer and the national anthem, as is customary, followed by the sports teachers declaring the rules of the match to ensure fair and moral play. The presence of our respected Principal Ma’am on the grounds and her kind yet enlightening words served as a guiding light throughout the day. Matches between the girls' and boys' teams occurred simultaneously with lively commentary. The audience was gripped tight in stupefaction as they witnessed the highs and lows of the competition, ooh-ing and aah-ing with every four and six that the very talented batsmen and women of TMS showered the grounds with. At the end of the day, with every bead of sweat that glistened on the faces of the pupils also shone a glimmer of joy and contentment, irrespective of victory or defeat.
